To pay tribute to our Mother India art show on the walls of the gallery in September, this plant party will take a closer look at a popular and useful flower found in India, and around the world- the marigold.

Amongst its many uses, it creates a gorgeously vivid yellow dye. We'll experiment with mordants, and dry and fresh locally- grown marigolds.

You'll go home with a lovely custom-dyed cotton piece and samples for future dyeing endeavors. An India-themed cocktail and snacks will be offered as well.

As always tasty snacks and a delicious special beverage from our bar will be included in the ticket! See you at Gallery5!
