We ask that you please read through our booking guidelines before submitting your request.

Gallery5 now exists in the downstairs of the old fire station and has a capacity of 125.
While we do not serve food, we have a full bar stocked with Richmond & Virginia beers, wines and cocktails as well as NA beer, non alcoholic beverages and snack options like crackers, peanuts and cookies.
Parking is available on-street throughout the Jackson Ward neighborhood and Broad Street. Equipment and merch loading takes place out front in our designated loading zone.
Due to Gallery5’s operational costs and non profit procedures, we must retain an initial $225 from door proceeds before the performance/venue split to cover sound engineer, door/ticket/ID check staffing and licensing fees (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC). After this initial $225 fee has been retained, our door is then split 80% performer(s) and 20% Gallery5.
We do not have the administrative capacity to book out of town bands with no local contacts or reach. If you are an out of town touring band, please submit a request ONLY if you have been touring a minimum of 2 years and if you have local contacts with promoters, bookers, other bands/acts and/or audiences.
We ask that our performers respect the art on display as well as stage and sound equipment. If art or equipment is damaged or stolen by a booking we have the right to seek compensation and may be obligated to take an additional % of the door to cover loss.
Are you a new band or a local /touring act looking to gain exposure to new audiences in exchange for donating your services at one of our free public First Fridays art openings? First Fridays has been one of G5's most successful events (and award winning) for nearly 20 years, bringing over a thousand people from all walks of RVA into our Jackson Ward community for arts, music, local vendors, and outdoor performances each month. Because this event is made free to the public each month it limits our budget for paid performances but is a great opportunity to showcase new talents and material to a guaranteed packed house. If you are interested in performing at a free First Fridays opening, please note that in your contact form.
More information about equipment needs, merch set up, drink comps, %, dates, etc can be discussed via email after initial inquiry has been received.
If booked, promo materials (high resolution images, social media links, poster/flyer designs, etc) will be requested and must be received in a timely manner to ensure adequate time for press releases, calendar updates and print/digital promotions.
