A night of really old jazz music & sweet harmonies
The Truetone Honeys bring to life century-old jazz with the super delicious harmonies of the female vocal jazz groups from the 1920s-40s.
Their songs & arrangements come from the Boswell Sisters (definitely worth listening if you haven't) to the Andrews Sisters, to other lesser-known Dinning Sisters.
Usually having a full band backing them for their shows, this tour will be their debut accompanying themselves in a super intimate, truly unique experience… that still swings hard.
The only way audiences hear this style of music today is usually in a "novelty" style... but this music is truly soulful, complex, and moving, and we pride ourselves in recreating it as potently as it was originally performed!
Swing dancers, lovers of vintage/by-gone days, and music-lovers looking for something new to their ears… this show is for you.
Opening will be Stu Kindle & friends. Stu is a true master of the ukulele, playing some swingin’ jazz as you’ve never heard it.
