Featuring films: The Spawn by Melissa Lesh, Waterworn by EB Fox, Coal Blooded by Brandon Davis, Two Lines by Walker Moore, and the premiere
Join us for an evening of environmental short films produced by local filmmakers! These films will highlight the beauty and complexity of our region, educating and inspiring viewers with award-winning cinematography and storytelling. This showcase is headlined by the premiere of A Sturgeon Story, created by the team that brought you Headwaters Down. A Sturgeon Story follows the adventures of three friends trying to film the epic breaching of Atlantic Sturgeon in the James River during their seasonal run. The James is one of the only rivers in the world where you can find this endangered fish, and the story of chasing the perfect shot is by turns educational, comical, and, finally, astonishing. And this is just one of several stunning local films!
