- OTNES (formerly Emily Blue) makes genre-bending pop in Nashville, TN. With a mix of 1980s synthscapes and modern pop, OTNES explores both vulnerability and the extremity of emotion in their music. They are a proud member of the nonbinary and queer community and believe music should be used to celebrate all identities. OTNES's work has been featured in VICE, Hulu's Maggie, Love Island 2022, and their release Go the Distance with Disney's Reimagine Tomorrow. Originally from Chicago, they frequented venues like Lincoln Hall, Sleeping Village, and have multiple U.S. tours under their belt. They have also been a featured performer at Disney’s D23 Expo.
While continuing to tour, OTNES is preparing to release their debut album, “Show Them What’s Inside”, later this year with AntiFragile Music.
- Deau eyes: Of all the astrological signs, Geminis get an unfair rep for flightiness. Richmond artist Ali Thibodeau, better known as Deau Eyes, is a proud double Gemini; she’s also living proof that the stereotypes are wrong. Rather than being flaky, air signs like her possess an openness and flexibility, ready to take on whatever the world throws at them. “For a while there before the pandemic, I had my passport in my purse at all times just in case something came up and I was able to leave,” she says. Over these last few years, though, Thibodeau’s innate taste for adventure evolved from a propensity to pick up her things and take off (her debut LP was literally called Let It Leave), to a desire to stay in one place and tend her garden.
- IONNA is a band led by Soraya Silene, combining Dreampop and Americana music. She writes songs at the liminal moment of emotion, gauzed in a stylized synth/guitar arrangement, eager drums, and a Hope Sandoval-shaped vocal delivery.
- Tyler Meacham: Whether dance floors are open or closed, pop music retains its power to move us, distilling complex emotional experiences into art that resonates the moment it hits our ears. That immediacy is a hallmark of songs by indie singer and songwriter Tyler Meacham.
“It’s pop but it’s not,” says Meacham in regards to her debut LP Into The Fray (2022). “I don’t really like to align myself with a genre… I lean towards what’s right [for a song], more than just what fits in a box, if that makes sense.” The Richmond, Virginia based artist doesn’t shy away from sharing her deepest vulnerabilities in her music, which spans from fully-produced pop to more stripped-back sonic affairs where her resonant voice is at the forefront.
Tyler Meacham's gift lies in connecting intimately with her listeners. For Meacham, music is an instrument of connection, a means to create a sense of belonging and understanding. In her own words, "I hope people hear these songs and maybe feel a little less alone, a little less lost in whatever life has presented them with."
As her artistic journey continues to unfold, Tyler Meacham remains a beacon of honesty and authenticity, a resolute artist unafraid to delve into her innermost depths and bring her audience along for the ride.
