June Plant Party: Foccaccia Made Easy
About this event
Bring a work apron to this informative class on how to not just make a quick and effortless focaccia, but to make it decorative using easy-to-grow herbs (thanks to Strange's!,) edible flowers, and summer vegetables. We will provide all the ingredients needed, a sheet pan that's yours for life, and a take-home sheet summarizing the class and basic recipe with suggestions for variation.
After we make the dough, lay it out, decorate it, and cover it with plastic wrap to rise one last time, you’re free to take it home and pop it in the oven! Make sure you leave someone at home so you can call them before you leave the class to preheat your oven (kidding!)
We will also sample some easy-to-make spreads and butters like balsalmic honey compound butter, and red wine spread, so you can come up with some creative combinations to bring to your next picnic, barbecue, or potluck.
This event is vegan, and all butter used will be a butter substitute. You'll be amazed that you can't tell the difference.
