G5 will be having an Art Auction durning Jazz Night with Markis Bowers-Dunlap :

Markis Bowers-Dunlap is a well-known artist from Newport News, Virginia. Markis currently paints on canvas and large murals. A Fine Arts major from Norfolk State University, Markis paints in an abstract style, while using color as a way of expression and something that the eye will gravitate towards. Markis has numerous murals in the Hampton roads area, his artwork has been displayed at the James Wise Gallery at NSU, The Contemporary Arts Network and many more.

Outside of his artwork, he also illustrates and writes children’s books. Markis also received his graduate degree from Old Dominion University where his children’s book, “Asking about Art!” was created. Children books are another way for Markis to reach the youth and help others around the world. As of today, Markis continues to create paintings that will shock you with imagery and serve as a pillar to society for generations to come!
