SXSW annually blesses RVA with all sorts of up-and-comers on the way to Austin on the quest for world domination and 2019 is no different. New Jersey's EHIOROBO is a sensual-yet-chaotic R&B vocalist/producer who pulls from world music, indie hip-hop, jazz, soul and more to create a sound all their own. With tours under their belt alongside Onmiboi, Mothica and several Ruby Yacht (Milo) artists and releases via Majestic Casual, Secret Songs, Monstercat and the legendary Kitsune, EHIOROBO is well on the way to big things! You may also know their alias "Tsar of Gamble" which made it to #1 on Bandcamp's Alternative Hip-Hop charts and has us all prepped to see the unveiling of their sophomore LP later this year. EHIOROBO: EHIOROBO (Ehi Igiehon) is an alt. r&b/electronic vocalist and producer from New Jersey. Through combining his soulful, multi-faceted songwriting style with bouncy jazz-tinged electronic production, Ehiorobo’s live show is an undeniably danceable, visceral, and intimate roller coaster ride equipped with experimental textures and roots in jazz/soul. Having released his debut-album, ‘limeade’, through the internet label DESKPOP at the top of 2016, his stylings have already garnered nods from taste-curators like Vice Magazine’s THUMP, The Needle Drop, Vice’s Noisey Spain, Nest HQ, Impose Magazine, and a feature on Indie Shuffle’s ‘Best Indie/Experimental Pop of 2016’ list. Ehiorobo is gearing up to release his Sophomore LP, along with a number of other projects in 2018.
