**Sister Radio is about two independent radio stations working together as they embark on an ambitious project on empowering women voices while 4,600 miles apart. In contrast with radio obsolescence in the western world, radio is still an integral part of communicating societal issues and news in Malian communities. In a media platform that represents almost no women, WRIR 97.3 of Richmond, VA and Radio Sikoro of Ségou, Mali are working together in including Malian women voices on the radio through education on radio production. They believe that having women representation on the radio is a crucial step in empowering women to be part of community solutions and growth in this patriarchal society.

Cameron Robinson and Andee Arches have been working tirelessly in making this documentary a reality to raise awareness of this bold cause. This Saturday is also the first Saturday they come back from they’re 2 week video shoot in Mali! Consider this as a homecoming party too!
