A Film In Color is a three-piece instrumental band from northern New Jersey that creates brooding, atmospheric soundscapes. Since the release of their 2014 debut EP, To Scale a Mountain, AFIC have honed the band’s sound, drawing greater influence from the minimalism of drone, the washed-out ambience of shoegaze, and the slow, volume-laden heaviness of doom. Picking up where TSAM left off, AFIC’s 2018 debut full length, They March In Endless Circles, finds the band employing a more intimate use of texture and noise to explore sound and its relationship to the physical and emotional sensations of impending non-existence.
