Why should I sponsor the Carnival of 5 Fires 2008?

The Carnival of 5 Fires 2008 promises to be one of the most exciting events in Virginia this year. This is not just an average art opening, but an extravagant yearly festival and a new tradition for Richmond.

Through our innovation and community outreach, Gallery5 was honored in 2007 by being named the “Best Gallery in Richmond” by the readers of Richmond Magazine. It has just been announced that Gallery5 has also received Richmond Magazine’s 2008 Theresa Pollack Award for Excellence in the Arts for “Arts Innovator of the Year”. Gallery5 proudly participates in Richmond’s First Friday’s Art Walk, a one-night-a-month event that draws an average of 9,000 visitors. The opening of Carnival of 5 Fires is one of the biggest events for Gallery5 and the First Friday’s Art Walk.

Three nights packed with excitement and spectacle will attract a large diverse audience of all ages. Last year the Carnival had a tremendous response and turnout. This event is a perfect marketing opportunity for your business to connect to those who support Richmond’s creative community.

Not only will your sponsorship be advertised for the three night festival, but Gallery5 will also advertise the sponsors throughout the entire month during its open exhibition as well as through its online social network. A special thank you will be emailed to our supporters thanking them and our sponsors for their generous support of this years festival.

A portion of funds raised by sponsorships and ticket costs for this year’s event will go toward Gallery5’s community outreach programs and mission to save this National Historic Landmark. Renovations and maintenance work are constantly needed to keep the building a beautiful place for all of Richmond, Virginia and beyond to enjoy and learn about its illustrious past.

By sponsoring this year’s large-scale event you are supporting, nourishing, and sustaining Richmond’s unique, diverse and ever-growing creative community.
