GallowLily’s gallery features monthly solo exhibitions of contemporary craft artists while our boutique consigns an eclectic array of eco-friendly and handmade goods; including hand printed and recycled clothing, one of a kind jewelry, ceramics, organic products, artists prints, independent books and much more.
GallowLily’s will re-open in September with a new section brought to you by Velocity Comics, rotating monthly exhibitions featuring contemporary crafts, as well as hand-made goods by regional artists.
Named after Lily Madison, a woman whose murder, in 1885, led to the hanging of a local attorney who was jailed on the premises awaiting execution for a crime he may not have committed. A screenplay is now being completed based on the autobiography he wrote while incarcerated on site. This unique craft boutique and gallery has been a notable part of Richmond’s history and still houses the original gallows. The building has become an area of interest for ghost hunters and paranormal investigators.

Call for Consigners and Proposals for GallowLily’s
GallowLily’s will re-open in September with a new section brought to you by Velocity Comics, rotating monthly exhibitions featuring contemporary crafts, as well as hand-made goods by regional artists.
We are currently looking for craft-based artists to consign works suitable for the fall season, as well as proposals for solo craft-based gallery exhibitions.
