Gallery5 has become a premiere arts venue for local and regional audiences. In 2007-2009, Richmond Magazine awarded Gallery5 “Best Art Gallery” and “Gallery with the Most Attitude” in their annual Best and Worst of Richmond Awards. In 2008, Gallery5 received the prestigious Theresa Pollock Award for Excellence in the Arts for “Arts Innovator of the Year”.

 

Gallery5’s monthly opening receptions, held in conjunction with First Friday’s Art Walk, attract some of the largest, most diverse and enthusiastic audiences in Richmond. Exhibitions range from theme solo or group shows, international notables, local favorites and emerging unknowns whose works deserve more public exposure. Gallery5’s exhibitions are designed to provide engaging presentations, and encourage dialogue between audiences and artists.
